Do Hard Things... !

Okay. Hi. This is Kathryne, hijacking Christine's blog... but she's here too, so not really :P We are going to map out our day.

5:30 AM- "My Savior" by Aaron Shust playing way too loud in our sleepy ears
6:15 AM- Leave for DO HARD THINGS!!!!!!!!11!!!!1!!
7:00 AM- Katie reluctantly begins Government homework because the sun is now out.
8:00 AM- DO HARD THINGS AHHHHAETOIUHVEOSIYHBS
8:20 AM- Motivational Red Wall Paint makes the shoutout board!
9:00 AM- Pure awesome.
5:00 PM- Fangirl time :) Brett Harris signed the MRWP. Then Joel Harris signed it, and he got to sign it next to Robin Mark so he took a picture :) THENTHENTHEN Shannon Harris, Josh's wife, who happens to sing for Sovereign Grace music including The Precious Blood, (and Christine really has no idea what all this is, so, yes, it is Katie hijacking) signed it too.
6:00 PM- Wendy's for dinner! sitting outside, and then this random old man came up to us and talked to us about Mennonite clothing and asked us if we were Mennonites and rambled some odd thing about modern women's clothing... o.0
7:15 PM- Leave for home. Katie attempts to do more Government. Snakes in the car. hehe.
9:05 PM- We both do homework. And talk. And Christine thinks she distracts Katie. But really Katie is just as distracting. Katie gets hungry.
10:00 PM- Sign on to Blogger.

OH. Bad thing with silver lining. No mime performance tomorrow. Major miscommunication. And so that's a bummer. BUT. We get to sleep in. Relatively. Like, 7:30 instead of 5:30. But it's still nice. And we still get to see all of our favorite people (read: mimes) at church tomorrow.

Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!

Went SHOPPING for fabric with Erin, Katie and Kristen. And we were crazy. We walked down to Peir 1 to try on some masks. So that was fun too.

UPLIFTING. (I guess that's two.)

God was there with us tonight, and it was spectacular.
I'm so, so blessed by:
My God who is small enough to hear my every cry, and catch my every tear.
My friends and family who are bold enough to lift their hands and voices and hearts in praise and adoration of the God of the universe.
and the love I'm given. From God, from my family, and from my friends.

I love you guys to death.

Rollerblading!

This evening, Erin and I biked and roller-bladed to the library to get a movie.
Erin biked, and I roller-bladed.
But then I got tired. And got towed. I held on to the bottom of Erin's bike seat, and she pulled me along. We got lots of weird looks from people. It was awesome. =)

We watched Sense & Sensibility... cute movie, but not one of my favorites.

I'm getting up at 6:30-7 ish tomorrow to go biking. And that time was changed from 6. =P

Cheers!

PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

We politely pardoned the party pooper in purple pajama pants, and she partook of the pile of patiently prepared perfectly pretty particularly petite (racist) papery pale puffy pancakes.

Thus, our morning.

TADA!

(and we didn't make up any of that. tis all true.)

BPAC

Okay so.... Katie arrived at the Coffee House at.... 6-ish.

And, we ate. things. (Like the mozzarella sticks, that kinda exploded in the oven, so they were more like inside out mozzarella sticks.)

Then we went to Rita's, and got Gelatis. (My computer doesn't like that word.) We started walking home... and it rained. So, we hitch-hiked. Sort of.

We admired the awesome thunderstorm. Twas really cool. :P

Then we watched The Hunt for Red October... ate cookies... and popcorn.

And guess what else we did?? It's four letters, rhymes with walk... I bet you'll never guess... :P

As of now the four ... er ... TWO of us are having lots of fun. More of that secret business that you will never guess.

And fun chats... and quad-souled goddesses.

(we can't think of a clever way to sign off. so we shall leave you with... BPAC!)

Look at the bottom of the page... DO IT!!!

Or don't, I don't really care. I mean, it's not like there's anything FUN or ENTERTAINING down there or anything....

So you can do whatever you want.

3.22.2010

bleh...

Rain. I don't particularly care for rain, especially after such a beautiful weekend.

So, I didn't really do much today. But I went thrift store hunting and found a cute pair of jean shorts.

ehh... fun emails?

and I'm looking forward to Thursday... my grandmother is coming down and we are going shopping.... yay!

So, email me/comment... maybe I'll talk about you tomorrow =P

Emails!

I know, I know... the day's not over yet... But something I did earlier was funny.

I cleaned out my email. Now, I bet you're thinking, no big deal, right?
Well, see, I haven't cleaned out my email in, oh, four years.

So far, I've just deleted all the forwards and emails from school assignments and such.

2027.

In case you were curious.

I still have 4533 to read through and decide whether or not I really need them.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I still want you all to email me. This is just showing me that I don't need to keep all those random forwards and emails that are over four years old.

Wish me luck!

Cheers!

Dem, Rep, or Southerner?

A fun email I got from a friend yesterday...Enjoy!

Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Southerner?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner,
locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you...

You are carrying a Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

...................................................................

THINK CAREFULLY AND
THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's
Answer :

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him
that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind
of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day
and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior..
This is all so confusing!

I need to debate this with some friends
for few days and try to come to a consensus...

..............................................................................

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

.....................................................................

Southerner's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG !
Click..... (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG! Click
Daughter: 'Nice grouping, Daddy!
Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?! '
Son: 'Can I shoot the next one?!'

Wife: 'You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist!

ohh my

I know I'm tired when some of these made me cry laughing...but, hey, it was 4:oo am...

My homework is like a juicy steak -- rarely done.

I will not eat oysters. I want my food dead. Not sick. Not wounded. Dead. - Woody Allen

Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die. - Mel Brooks

I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter

I remember the time I was kidnapped and they sent a piece of my finger to my father. He said he wanted more proof.

The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. - Robert Bloch

Constantly choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. - Jerry Garcia

Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver.

When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never tried before.~Mae West quotes

Roses are red, Violets are blue. I'm schizophrenic, and so am I.
Oscar Levant

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me. - Fred Allen

2.04.2010

um?

so, I couldn't really think of a title.

Today was:

going to class after three hrs of sleep

getting out of lab 1.5 hrs early

Emily, Steve, Colin and Daniel and I playing cards at the student center (and eating cookies!)

not taking a nap

swim practice...was great! who knew that you could feel so good after only three hours of sleep?

putting a gallon of milk on the side porch because our fridge is full =P

chatting with a good friend I haven't seen/talked to in a while

and, now, I'm going to bed.

'night!

Music and Quotes

If you haven't already, go read my sister's post for the day: http://an-optimism-initiative.blogspot.com/2010/02/shocked.html

Wow. Yeah, when she called me, I was in shock. I won't go into my reaction. =P

But, we had music practice tonight.
That is always such fun.
BUT, I do need to practice more often...my fingers are sore =(

And, any of you on gchat will notice my new status...and I found a few more:

When you wish upon a falling star, Your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteorite hurtling to the earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteor.

Hundreds of years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... But the world may be different because I did something so bafflingly crazy that my ruins become a tourist attraction.

Perseverance - The courage to ignore the obvious wisdom of turning back.

Cheers!
